40SA ROAD RULES · NEW 40 SCHOOL ZONES

On school days, the clock sets the limit: 40 between the signs

South Australia’s new time-based school zones sit on busier roads (rolling out to around 150 schools from November 2025). On school days, between 8–9:30 am and 2–4 pm, the limit is 40 from the SCHOOL 40 sign until you pass the next speed-limit sign. Outside those times — and on weekends and school holidays — the normal limit applies. Watch the same road at three different moments.
