You can book your South Australian practical driving test through us for A$450, which includes our dual-control car and an instructor who meets you at the test centre. You do not need to have taken lessons with us. Every booking is subject to confirmation by our examiner and approval by Service SA.
If you also want lessons, our lesson and test packages include a test attempt and usually work out cheaper than booking the two separately.
You must hold a valid, current learner's permit or temporary permit issued by Service SA. If Service SA does not accept your licence or permit on the day, 50% of the fee is non-refundable, so check your permit is current before you book.
You should also have completed the requirements for your permit — in South Australia that means 75 hours of supervised driving including 15 at night, and a pass in the Hazard Perception Test. See the full licence pathway if you are not sure where you are up to.

No. You can book a driving test on its own for A$450, whether or not you have ever had a lesson with us. If you would like a check drive first, a 45-minute assessment is $90.
You can, provided it is registered, roadworthy and meets the test requirements — but you would then need to arrange the test directly rather than through us. The A$450 booking here includes our dual-control car.
It depends on examiner availability, which is why the page above shows only slots that are genuinely open. We release new times as they become available, so it is worth checking back. If nothing suits, let us know and we will tell you as soon as a slot opens.
Not immediately. Your slot is reserved when you pay, then confirmed once our examiner and Service SA approve it. We email you as soon as that happens, and you can check the status any time in your account.
You can book another attempt. If you bought a lesson and test package, check how many test attempts it includes; otherwise a further attempt is booked the same way as the first.
We run tests at the centres shown in the location list above — only centres with open slots appear. Your instructor meets you there before the test starts.
